IS-BAO Inspection Support
RAS Flight Support conducts independent safety and operational inspections for Federal Aviation Administration Part 135 and Part 91 operators, aligned with the International Business Aviation Council IS-BAO standard. Our role is to provide an objective evaluation of an operator’s systems, performance, and compliance—delivering a clear picture of how safety and operational standards are applied in practice.
Our inspections are built around the core elements of IS-BAO, including safety management system effectiveness, operational control, training, maintenance oversight, and organizational accountability. Led by experienced aviation professionals with military and global civilian backgrounds, we assess real-world operations to determine whether procedures, risk controls, and safety practices are functioning as intended.
For Part 135 operators, we evaluate alignment between IS-BAO principles and FAA regulatory requirements, including operational control and compliance with Operations Specifications. For Part 91 flight departments, we assess internal controls, procedural discipline, and safety oversight using a structured IS-BAO framework appropriate for non-commercial operations.
Each inspection concludes with a detailed, risk-based report outlining observations, areas of concern, and operational strengths. Our findings provide leadership with an accurate, unbiased understanding of their operation’s safety posture and performance.
